GRS #1 claimed a 4-year old Florida-bred gelding named Fizzy Pop (Slew Gin Fizz - Pop Pop B.B. Gun - Red Ryder) out of the 7th race at Tampa Bay Downs for $10,000 on March 14, 2008.  Fizzy has run eight times for GRS #1, picking up a check in five of those starts including two wins!  Fizzy is spending a couple of months at the farm for some rest and recreation.  He should be entering training again in December and back on the turf at Tampa in January.

Somerset Wish retires hitting the board in more than half her career starts and earning over $25,000.  Wish will be retired to a farm in Wisconsin courtesy of partner Brian Nodolf.

Somerset Sam has made six career starts at Canterbury Park this year finally breaking his maiden in a six furlong sprint on July 17th. Sam is a full brother to Somerset Wish and managed by the same partnership group.   Sammy finished a disappointing fifth on August 23rd and will probably be retired to northern Minnesota.  Sam will make a lot of friends at his new home as he has a great personality and a gentle disposition.  Congrads to David Miller for taking the responsibility to finding Sammy a new home.

I Am Woman is a 2-year old Pennsylvania-bred pacing filly by Blissful Hall out of Wild Proposition.  A small-ish two year old, I Am Woman was turned out this week in Pennsylvania to have some time to develop and catch up to her peers.  Look for her as a three-year old.
